Easter Break: FG Declares Friday, Monday Public Holidays

The public holidays are in line with the Christian tenets which recognizes Friday, 30th March as Good Friday, and Monday, 2nd April as Easter Monday respectively.

The Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, made the declaration in a statement issued on behalf of the Federal Government in Abuja.

In the statement, Dambazau enjoined Nigerians to make use of the spiritual culture of Easter which is characterized by love, sacrifice, and peace to promote peaceful relationship.

He also encouraged Nigerians, “to remain supportive of the government of President Muhammadu Buhari in his efforts towards building a peaceful, united and prosperous nation.”

The minister wished all Nigerians a Happy Easter Celebration.
